Specifies when the payment is valued out of the payer’s account.

Specifies when the payment is valued for availability for the recipient’s bank/DNB’s correspondent bank.

The payment is normally made in the currency type stated in the amount. For payments in NOK less than NOK 100,000, the bank reserves the right to transfer the amount in foreign currency if it is not possible to transfer in NOK. The execution will take place in the recipient country’s currency, USD, EUR or GBP.

Delivery time to the recipient’s bank

DNB is responsible for delivering the payment to the recipient’s bank within the time frame specified for the product. The recipient bank is responsible for crediting the recipient’s account. When this takes place depends on the recipient bank’s procedures and which agreements have been entered into between the recipient and the recipient’s bank.

The start date for calculating the delivery time is the date the customer enters as the start date in the order. The start date will be postponed if the order is confirmed after the specified submission deadline, or if there are insufficient funds in the account for the payment. For manual orders, the start date is set to the date on which the order is delivered to the bank before the deadline. The start date may be delayed if the order has shortcomings relative to the product requirements.

For customers submitting files in TBIO format, the final submission deadline in DNB Connect is 21:00 Norwegian time, or 15:00 Norwegian time if repairs are necessary. The final submission deadline for payment instructions sent via secure fax is 14:00 Eastern Time. The submission deadlines that apply to payments with currency exchange are the earlier of the two relevant deadlines. For example, the NOK deadline will apply when exchanging from NOK to EUR. In certain weeks during spring and autumn, the time difference between Eastern Time and Central European Time may differ from six hours, depending on when the transition to daylight saving time occurs.
