We are looking for early-stage tech companies seeking investment from Startuplab and a partnership with DNB or Vipps.

The programme is for ambitious Norwegian tech companies and runs for 3 months. It provides a unique opportunity to explore potential partnerships with DNB or Vipps. All companies will receive a dedicated team equipped with expert resources and an executive sponsor. In addition to an investment of NOK 2–4 million from Startuplab, as well as access to Startuplab's extensive network.

Startuplab and the investment

About the investment

Startuplab invests NOK 1–3 million for an ownership stake of around 10%. Startuplab is open to discussing different investment amounts and ownership percentages on a case-by-case basis.
The investment is made through a SLIP (Startups Lead Investment Paper). For all practical purposes, this functions as a convertible loan, which means that your company retains the ability to incentivise employees with shares, whilst being able to pay salaries in the short term.
With the investment, the company can apply for all public early-stage financing that requires matching capital. This means that most founders can secure an additional NOK 1.5 million in non-dilutive financing.
After conversion, Startuplab makes no further investments in the company. In other words, the incentives are then aligned, as Startuplab is diluted in the same way as the founders.
