Carlson becomes DNB
On 11/11/2011, Carlson Fund Management Company will be renamed DNB Asset Management. This step is part of a wider move across the entire organisation. At this date, our parent DnB NOR Group will also change its name and combine all its previous brands under the DNB name.
Carlson - has been a 100 percent subsidiary of DnB NOR Group since 2002 and will remain just that going forward.
Why DNB?
DNB stands for "Den Norske Bank – The Norwegian Bank". The name epitomises the strengths of the Northern region and the strengths of our Group. DNB is Norway's largest bank and also the country's biggest life insurer with, moreover, an international footprint: almost 14,000 employees in 13 offices across the globe serve 2.3 million retail clients and 200,000 corporate clients.
All operations of the DNB Group will remain committed to our common vision, namely creating value through excellent client service. The DNB Asset Management team - fund managers, sales and back office - will also remain unchanged. We are merely changing the packaging and renaming our company, our fund range and our website to DNB. Going forward, our product and service offering will be promoted under a single brand.
We will continue to serve our European fund clients from our Luxembourg office, with a focus on our areas of greatest strength: Scandinavia, Absolute Return, Asia and selected themes. As before, over 100 portfolio managers and analysts will offer our clients opportunities to invest in actively managed funds.
Nothing will change for you except the address of our website (www.dnb.no/lu) and our e-mail addresses (firstname.name@dnb.no).
Should there be any other implications of our name change, you will hear from us separately with additional information.
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us with any questions you may have.
