Premarket
US trading is no longer just an afternoon activity. With us, the US market opens at 10:00.
What is premarket trading?
In the US, it is possible to trade shares during a period before the American stock exchanges officially open at 15:30 Norwegian time. This period is called pre-market trading, or premarket.
DNB now offers pre-market trading on NYSE and NASDAQ from 10:00 to 15:30 Norwegian time. This gives you the opportunity to react to news, quarterly results and market movements long before regular trading begins.

Same shares, same brokerageYou trade the same shares as during regular trading hours, at standard DNB brokerage rates. | Not all companies are availableWhether a company's shares can be traded in pre-market trading is determined by the company and the stock exchange, not by DNB. The selection will therefore vary. |

Frequently asked questions
Trading in premarket hours takes place outside the Oslo Stock Exchange's regular trading hours and involves increased risk. Liquidity is normally lower and the bid/offer spread can be significantly wider than during regular trading hours. Prices in premarket trading are not necessarily representative of the price at market opening. Trading in shares and other securities involves risk of loss, and historical returns are no guarantee of future returns. The service is only available to existing customers of DNB Carnegie. Familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions and assess whether trading suits your financial situation and risk appetite before you trade.
