Transfer your share savings account

The first thing you need to do is complete a transfer form. We will then send a holdings request to the other provider. As soon as we have received the contents of the share savings account, you will receive confirmation that everything is ready.

All shares can be transferred to DNB. As for equity funds, it is a requirement that the funds are available in our fund range for share savings accounts. Funds that are not included in our range will be sold, and the value transferred as cash.

DNB does not charge any fees when you transfer your share savings account to us. The other savings provider may charge a transfer fee to facilitate the transfer of the share savings account.

Securities, cash holdings and tax information must be transferred as soon as possible after receipt of the transfer notification. The time it takes to transfer the share savings account is individual and depends on the holdings. We must cooperate with various savings providers, and a transfer of a share savings account with external funds therefore takes longer than a transfer of cash.

Yes, you can transfer without triggering tax and at any time transfer your share savings account with another savings provider to your share savings account at DNB. We will help you with the transfer and merge the accounts into one share savings account at DNB.

You can transfer parts of the funds from your share savings account to another share savings account in the following cases: to yourself, divorce and estate.

The division of the share savings account means that the securities and cash that you ask us to transfer will be moved to the share savings accounts you wish.

When transferring funds/shares to another share savings account, a corresponding proportion of the cost price, shielding basis and unused shielding will also be transferred. The share savings account from which the transfer is made will not be closed when the transfer is completed.

No, you will be exposed to the market at all times. We nevertheless recommend that you do not trade on the account after you have started the transfer process, as this means that the process itself takes longer.

For a period, you will not be able to see the balance in your share savings account, either with the other provider or with DNB. During this period, you cannot trade on the share savings account.

Savings agreements you have on the share savings account that must be transferred will be terminated. If you wish to continue these after the share savings account has been transferred to DNB, you must remember to set them up again. As soon as the share savings account has been transferred to DNB, you will find it in the share savings account overview. There you will easily be able to see which shares or equity funds you have savings agreements on and easily set up new or change existing savings agreements.
