Welcome to DNB as a corporate customer

The first thing you should do is log in and familiarise yourself with the online bank.

• The first time you log in to the corporate online bank?

  • You start by clicking on Log in. on the top right. IFill in your user ID and verify with BankID.

  • User ID? You have received it in an email/message. It consists of two letters and five numbers (e.g. TB12345)
  • If you are a private customer of DNB, you can log in with your national identity number (11 digits) and click on “switch online bank” on the right of the home page

  Are you a DNB corporate customer from before?

  • You can choose to have an account entered into the existing online bank.
  • Log in and see if you can find a new account under Under Administration -> Rights, select "Accounts".
  • If the account is not shown in the list of accounts, the authorisation between the account and online bank is not yet in place. Please check again a bit later.

When you log in for the first time, you will be asked to indicate who will have access to the account. Don’t see your account? Check the rights on the account.

• Get an overview of rights

  • The administrator can determine their own, and others’ rights in the online bank. Not everyone has access to all accounts, that is something the administrator needs to determine.
  • To get an overview of who has which rights, you can go to Administration -> Account privilegesHere you will see everyone who has access to online bank and can click to see what rights they have. Select the account the user should be able to "see" or "register".

  User roles explained

  In the corporate internet bank we have different user roles which will determine what the person gets access to do in the internet bank. Note that a person can have several roles in combination.

  • Administrator: Decides all access and can administer users.
  • Orderer: Can order products
  • Ordinary user: Cannot order products or administer users

  Accountants

  Authorisation is required to give or receive access to another company’s account. You can choose to give just read-only access, or whether the account can be loaded in another online bank.

  Select Administration in the main menu. Under the Buy and order tab, select Give/Get account authorisation. See video for further explanation.

  NoteTo be able to log in to the corporate app, you need to have logged in to the full corporate online bank and have completed some finalising steps in your customer profile.

  If you get an error the first time you log in to the app, log in to the online bank first at dnb.no on your computer. Then you can check that you have rights for the account.

As a new DNB customer, you get the accounting app DNB Regnskap for free for 6 months as long as you register during your first two months as a customer.

• Do I need an accounting program?

  Many people are wondering how they should deal with accounting programs. Here is some information about AS (limited companies) and ENK (sole trader businesses).

• Private limited companies and general partnerships (companies with partnerships)

  • From and including the 2023 fiscal year, all corporations and companies with partnerships (ANS) must submit tax returns via the accounting or annual settlement program.

• Sole proprietorship

  • The Norwegian Tax Administration has stated that sole trader companies/personal businesses whose turnover does not exceed NOK 50,000 will still be able to disclose the total operating income and total operating costs without specifying any further details.
  • Some sole traders/personal businesses with a turnover above NOK 50,000 will be able to deliver via a new solution. This applies to sole trader companies that do not have an accounting or auditing obligation, as well as individual industries.
  • All other sole trader companies must submit the tax return via an accounting or annual settlement program.
