The Commodity School is a course for professionals who want to manage their company’s commodity risk.
Who is this course suitable for?
Most industries have direct or indirect exposure to commodity prices such as oil, gas and electricity. The manufacturing industry, oil and gas, energy, shipping, transport and trade are all examples of industries in which knowledge of commodity prices is important. Hedging and strategy should therefore be of interest to many businesses.

The aim of the Commodity School
This course prepares participants to be able to understand their own company’s exposure to commodity price and counterparty risk. We also teach you strategies for handling commodity risk through various hedging instruments.
We give participants an introduction to different commodity markets and demonstrate how to conduct market research in these areas. Participants will also get an insight into the outlook for future energy and commodity prices.
Content and lecturers
The course consists of lectures, assignments and case studies. The Commodity School lecturers are part of the DNB Markets team. They are the same people who are in contact with the market players on a daily basis. Therefore, you are guaranteed to get up-to-date insights, backed up by a number of real-life examples.
